2025 St. Jude Medal Recipients - Sheldon and Nicole Collins
Congratulations to Sheldon and Nicole Collins who will be among those who will receive the St. Jude Medal for service to their respective parishes in the Diocese of St. Petersburg for 2025. The evening prayer service and awards conferral will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle at 3:00 pm. The ceremony is open to the public.
Each year, the St. Jude the Apostle Medal is presented by our Bishop to a lay member from each of our parishes for his/her outstanding service to the parish community. Whether it involves advocating for the life of the unborn, serving as an usher at Mass, or leading a parish ministry, these men and women share the love of Christ in many visible ways.
Sheldon and Nicole have faithfully given their time each week to assist with providing for the hospitality ministry following Mass each Sunday. Sheldon and Nicole are also members of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary, Council and Court #379. Their involvement in the parish also includes faith formation, youth ministry and the HOPE Justice Ministry. They also willingly serve in whatever capacity is needed in support of other activities within the parish.
Congratulations Sheldon and Nicole... our first "couple" recipients!!!!!
The 2024 medal recipient was Kaye Wisdom.
